Just another site that you can have a conversation with regarding door panels and seat covers. I am not sure why others have not suggested this site but I have seen it recommended before on this forum: www.smsautofabrics.com I have not had any dealings with this company. My two door post savoy had t...

I have to agree - I hate winter and cold weather. But I live for days like today - sunny and mid-60's in Maryland when the average is only supposed to be 48 degrees... If only I could afford to live in Florida like some other Lucky Forum member. I guess I will have to settle for a two-week long Flor...

After I read this post that I wrote - it sure did not sound right. What I meant to say is am "I the only one counting four push buttons here?" I did not realize a 361 would be coupled with a two-speed??? Can this be true? This sure seems like a really complete and pretty intact car for the...

Okay Dan, I get the hint. I love Chryslers at Carlisle. If I am unable to drive the car up to Carlisle (don't ask) - is someone willing to take my car for me??? Just a thought. The catch is that it needs a carb and a week long clean-up before it would be ready to go. I am still toying with having th...

Beth, Well, Wanda may get towed away - but not from neglect on your part - I say you certainly gave her every chance known to start. I don't think you can be looking at anything major since she does fire and run with gas. I am sure she will start and run just fine once the culprit is found (my guess...

Hey Roger, Why not just jump on a plane and get Wanda fixed up - you are certainly a wealth of information. I can't really speak for the wide blocks - old fuel pumps and older model carbs. My car has the 1976 318 and newer style holley fuel pump and a crapped-out Holley 600 CFM electric choke carb. ...

John, Although I just have a 2-door post Savoy, my VIN plate is on the firewall. There are actually two holes drilled in the door jamb but they appear to have never been used. Sounds like you have about a year's worth of work to graft these two cars together into one beautiful convertible. Curt in MD

John, I can actually see that this car has potential. You mentioned that it did not look all that bad - what does that really mean? For example are all the top bows and header present - without rot? How are the floors and trunk area? It sure appears the front right took a good whack! Will you be usi...

Beth, I will start by saying I am not a mechanic - I can just talk from personal experience. Well the good news is that your car did start. I should have mentioned that it may take you 4 or 5 times with this same procedure before your carb will fill up with gas and work properly. When the car fires ...

Stefan and Everybody, I hesitated to send a fax since his introduction says "if a part is not listed in the catalog - I do not have it - SO DON'T ASK". I faxed them the question anyway and they responded immediately! They said they have the rubber (by the foot) not a rubber band. The cost ...

Stefan,

I just looked up Gary Goers and I could not find that gasket either. He only shows the gray foam seals for the housing to the bezel where the lens fit.

I can call them later today and see if they are still in stock since I also need a set.

Iwill get back with you.

Congratulation Dan - Let's hope for a mild winter - you don't want Matthew catching a cold in that garage. Do the plans call for a loft living area with heat??? I really think finding a good contractor these days is rare - I wish you luck. I sure hope you know someone, our builders here are demandin...

Well this time I can say "Been there, Done that" with the smoothed bumpers. I had a good welder shave my bumper bolts and they looked great. The only problem I had is that the chrome shop charged me a fortune ($350) and the results were poor - nickel showing through etc. I gave him another...
