Re: OE windshields

Tom, I am certain you did your research, but I had great luck with Pilkington glass for my 2dr sedan Savoy. They even offered clear, green or blue tinting and original LOF coding. My glass was shipped from Ohio to MD and I Purchased the $100 rubber from Bernbaum. The total cost with installation wa...

Re: Reworking the website

Dan, I certainly appreciate your efforts and time spent - all for our recreation. I don't visit the Forward Look site often but noticed they asked for donations and mentioned a figure like $250 a month to keep the site running! That figure does not include the hours you spend keeping us free from ha...

Re: Whistling Plymouth

On the other hand - vaccum lines are cheap! If you are like me - I say they should not be leaking - I just changed them, and it turns out to be they were changed 10 or more years ago! That happened in 2008 Carisle when my chrome Holley fuel pump quit. I thought it was rather new but soon realized it...

Re: DICK'S 59 RED & WHITE SPORT FURY RESTORATION.

Great work Dick! I love the color - it will be even better after wet sanding.

I am never bored of pictures.

Question - Where do you get large pieces chromed - like bumpers.

I have been burned several times on my bumpers.

Keep up the great work!

Re: My best friend is gone...

Dan, So sorry for your loss. i knew it was expected, but did not know it would be so soon. Most of us have felt your pain but I know that does not ease your pain. I know that as I feel the pain of the loss of my best friend of 16 years (Bentley) as I write ths e-mail through tears and his death was...

Quiet

All, Sorry for being so quiet on this end. But I can always count on the Regulars to keep things going. Just back from an Ocean City trip that went well. Retirement is great but filled now with many doctor appointments. I still need both kidneys blasted as I now have new stones - I put this off unti...

Dan, So sorry to hear of this news. You both have been through a lot together this year. I will tell you no matter the age, it is always difficult in the end. Ko Ann and I lost our first Westie "Bentley" at age 16 - we thought we were prepared. As a childless couple he was our baby that we...

Re: idler arm HELP!

After wasting $40 shipping wrong springs back to Andy Bernbaum - I had springs installed in Baltimore for $109. The car sat like Rogers and deove like an empty dump truck! I took it back and they de-arched the springs (no cost) to a lower height and the car rides perfect! We have two spring shops in...

Re: Coming up for air

Hi Dan, Inquiring minds want to know: Will it be a 10' garage door? Will there be a side entrance door? And lastly- what's up with the Acclaim? I finished my almost 31 year tour of duty with the Feds this week so I am officially retired! Perhaps I can now read and post on the forum! I can appreciat...

Re: glass fuel filter

Roger and all,

Stay away from the new cylinder glass filter - they can't take the heat. Mine was glass with chrome ends and broke while filling up with gas half-way to Myrtle Beach a few years back. The glass is just to thin for the heat from the intake manifold.

Thanks,
Curt

A New Start

Off topic for sure... I just wanted to say I will retire from my Federal Job on April 30th after almost 31 years. I hope to concentrate on my health and enjoy family time with my wife and 7 year old daughter. I am still working with the doctors and hope to have better health as a result. I still ha...
